Water Chestnum Pull

"Our annual Water Chestnut pull is Saturday August 10th at 9:00 am.

We pull in Turtle Bay and in the narrows on the eastern shore near the Mordaunt property.

This task is best done by kayak or canoe, or row boat. It is so shallow in the narrows you can easily walk in the water and pull-- just wear sturdy shoes you don't mind getting mucky. Even in a kayak your clothes will get a little bit dirty too.

We will meet on the shore of Otisco Lake park on the Turtle Bay shoreline and divide up. Some folks will stay in the Bay, others will go to the narrows. If you want to go to the narrows you can drive from the park or paddle down.

The whole job takes a couple of hours at the most usually. Its helpful to have a person or two on the shore collecting from the kayaks and making piles we can dispose of. Thank you for any assistance you can give us!" Jen Griffin

Thanks everyone for your help broadcasting.
